The Green Man is yet another deity. He is the God of the forest (Said to roam the forests Europe) and is often shown with branches and other foliage growing out from around his face. In some cases, he is also depicted with horns. He is a representation of the spirits of plants, foliage and the trees. Some also believe that he has rain making abilities. In some places, he is known by other names such as Green Jack, Green George, and Jack in the Green. He is most commonly called upon in the spring.
